Involvement in research as a medical student can provide exciting opportunities to work as part of a team and improve career prospects. All selected abstracts will be added to our ABSTRACT BOOK, CONSPECTUS which is published for JUBICON 2024 by Jubilee Center for Medical Research.

Paper/Poster Presentation:

  • Open to all Undergraduate medical students and house surgeons/interns.
  • All participants must be registered delegates.
  • The scientific committee will select the submissions for oral presentation based on the abstract submitted before 30th September 2024.
  • Please read the guidelines for presentation.
  • All abstracts chosen for presentation will be published in ‘CONSPECTUS’.

RULES FOR SUBMISSION OF ABSTRACTS

Word Limit: 300 words                   Format: .docx

To submit the abstract, please prepare the following information on the title page:

  • Presenting author’s and Co-authors’ details including designation.
  • Name and designation of guide
  • Affiliation details: Department, Name of the institution or Hospital, city, state, country.
  • Email id of the corresponding author

A) Language: The abstract should be in English ONLY.

B) Blind abstract subheadings: Title, Background, Objectives, Methodology, Results, Conclusion.

.=Subject under which the research was conducted should be mentioned.

C) Keywords: 5 KEYWORDS must be written at the end.

D) Format: Refer here.

E) MULTIPLE abstracts may be submitted.

Abstracts already published elsewhere or based on full papers that have already been published will not be considered for inclusion

Deadline for abstract submission is on 27th September 2024, 4 PM.

Participants whose abstracts are selected will be informed by 30th September 2024.

Case Presentation:

  • Open to all Undergraduate medical students and house surgeons/interns.
  • All participants must be registered delegates
  • Individual participation or team of 2 allowed (no cross college teams allowed). 
  • In a team of two only one person can present; both team members must be present during the time of discussion. Both members may answer questions posed to them.
  • Case reports must be an original observation concerning diagnosis, treatment, or both.
  • All participants of case presentation are required to submit an abstract containing a brief overview of the case history.
  • The scientific committee will select case reports for oral presentation based on the abstract submitted before 30th September 2024.
  • All abstracts chosen for presentation will be published in ‘CONSPECTUS’.
  • Certificates will be only provided for the participating team who presented at the event.

Abstract Submission for Case Presentation:

  • Word limit: 300 words                              Format: .docx
  • Images: Not more than 2 images per abstract (Images should not reveal the identity of the patient.)
  • Title Page Information: Ensure the following details are present on the title page:
    • Presenting author’s and Co-author’s name (if any)
    • Name and designation of guide
    • Affiliation details: Department, Name of the institution or Hospital, city, state, country.
    • Email id of the corresponding author
  • Language: The abstract should be in English ONLY.
  • On the next page, Blinded Abstract Subheadings:
    • Title (Subject in brackets)
    • Background
    • Case history
    • Examination
    • Differential diagnosis
    • Management (Investigations and Treatment/Interventions)
    • Conclusion
    • Please ensure the subject on which you have done your case report on is present. Your response will influence which jury members shall evaluate your work

Guidelines for Preparation of Oral Presentation-PAPER

  •   Participants:

    All participants must be registered delegates

  Participants for oral presentation will be selected on the basis of abstracts submitted before 20th September 2024.

  • Certificate will only be provided for the participating team who presented at the event.
  • Time allotted: 7 minutes for presentation + 2 mins for discussion
  • Content: Title, background, objectives, methodology, results, conclusion, references

   Presentation slides:

   15 slides per presentation

   File format– as Microsoft PowerPoint (2013 and 2016 formats)

   Media– Pictures, graphs, and tables can be included

   Multimedia – videos and music cannot be included 

   Please rename the PowerPoint presentation files as “Registration ID – PAPER”

   4:3, font: Arial, title size:44, body:24

   Please bring the presentation in a USB flash drive along with you

   Recommended to limit each slide to 8 lines of concise content

   Slide design should be plain on a white background

   Notification: Participants whose abstracts are selected will be informed by 30th September 2024.

   Deadline for submission of presentation: Selected ones should send their presentation file to the email ID [email protected] before 12th October 2024.

Guidelines for Preparation of Poster

  • The poster must be in English with Times New Roman font.
  • Time allotted for poster presentation: 5 minutes for presentation + 2 minutes for discussion
  • A single poster must be prepared containing the presentation in the format of
    Introduction, Objectives, Methods, Results and Conclusion.
  • The poster must contain the title, names of authors and the department under which
    the research was done.
  • Please ensure name of the institution/hospital is not present anywhere on the poster
  • Name and designation of the guide must be present
  • Add 4 to 5 references.
  • Please send your poster before 12th October, 4 pm  to the email id
    jubiconjmmc@gmail.com with the name registration id-POSTER
  • The poster must be brought by the participant on the date of the event in the size
    mentioned. A0 Size (33×46 inches).
  • All posters selected for the conference will be put up for display until the conference
    is over.
  • Certificate will only be provided for the participating team who presented at the event.

Guidelines for Case Presentation

    • All participants must be registered delegates.
    • Participants for case presentation will be selected based on the abstracts submitted before 20th September 2024.
  • Presentation Time: 7 minutes for presentation followed by 2 minutes for discussion.
  • Team Presentation:
    • In a team of 2, only one person can present; both team members must be present during the discussion time.
    • Both members may answer questions posed to them.
  • Presentation Slides:
    • Case will be presented using a .ppt file with a maximum of 15 slides.
    • Presentation should include all appropriate headings, including:
      • Biodata (with the name omitted), Case History, Physical examination, Differential Diagnosis, Management (investigation and treatment/intervention), Pictures can be included but must not reveal the identity of the patient.
    • Multimedia (videos and music) cannot be included.
    • PowerPoint presentation files should be renamed as “Registration ID – CASE”.
    • Bring the presentation on a USB flash drive on the event day.
    • Slide type: 4:3, Title size: 44, Font: Arial, Font size: 24.
    • Slide design should be plain on a white background, Recommended to limit each slide to 8 lines of concise content
    • Presentation file should be sent to [email protected] on or before 4 pm, 12th October 2024.
    • Certificates will only be provided for the participating team who presented at the event.
