About Us

JUBICON is a medical students’ conclave hosted by the various student clubs of Jubilee. 2023 will see the second edition of the event, and is aimed at rediscovering the magic of medicine and what drew us to it in the first place, by decoding the curriculum and how to unlock it’s full potential.

We couldn’t be more excited to share this fruit of our labor with all of you and invite you to this celebration of the mind and the heart.

THEME

The Indian Medical Graduate, by the NMC standards, are said to have five roles: that of a clinician, a life-long learner, a professional, a communicator and a leader. The list of competencies formed under CBME guidelines was created in order to ensure that the IMG can function effectively as a physician of first contact of the community while being globally relevant, and he/she is educated in compliance with the goals set by the NMC.

CBME was implemented to ensure that every student is trained with these roles kept in mind to keep up with the ever-changing landscape of medical practice. However, it presented its own challenges to the students as a whole. With it’s ambitious vision and the staggering number of student lives it touched, there were certain discrepancies in what was meant to be communicated and what was understood.

At Jubicon this time around, we hope to expand the understanding of the curriculum so that all our delegates can get the full benefit from it. We will be focusing on each of these roles and help you mould your skillset to better embrace these facets of medical practice. Our sessions are organized with the intention of better understanding CBME and at unfurling it’s true potential and making sure our delegates walk out with a newfound sense of purpose, that comes with understanding the process.
